MATERNITY FOR NURSES

The Book is designed for students to help them gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to maintain maternal health, prevention and early diagnosis of health problems and minimizing maternal and infant health-related problems. Maternity nursing is a comprehensive interesting course that is designed to provide nursing students with a broad base of knowledge to develop skills and attitudes toward the child-bearing process needed to promote maternal health. Maternity nursing focuses on helping families to meet health needs associated with childbearing experience which includes: Avoiding or achieving pregnancy, maintaining, monitoring or interrupting pregnancy. The normal anatomic, physiologic and psychological adaptation to pregnancy and child bearing. Pre-existing and coexisting medical disorders, that may affect pregnancy.
