Mass Media and Conflicts' Management in Jos, Plateau State

This book is an assessment of the role mass media played in the management of conflicts in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Nigeria the giant of Africa had played host to different types of conflict especially in the 90's. Amongst these conflicts are ethno-religious, political etc. which put the country in a dangerous situation mainly between indigenes and settlers. The manipulation of certain factors trigger violence in the States. This study investigates the perception of the role of mass media in the conflict that ravaged Jos and its environs for over a decade that is 2001-2013. Theater and media practitioners should strive to ensure that we have a society devoid of conflicts.
