In this second edition of the book Manual of Good Practices in Histological Procedures, we have updated concepts from the first book and brought new ideas and tips. This second edition is another effort of my co-workers and mine to divulge and pass on technical teachings about the routine of a scientific research laboratory, in order to try to create a technical consensus about good practices in histology for laboratory routine. I would like to thank my colleagues Matheus Almeida Fortes Naus and Roger Gaspar Marchon for believing in this project and for participating in what was certainly a great "Herculean" work for everyone.
