MANAGEMENT VISION OF THE STRATEGIC LEVEL IN UNIVERSITIES

The university is a meeting place for knowledge for the construction of a country, hence the importance of knowing the vision of those who assume the role in universities. The research was a descriptive study of the strategic level of the Universidad Politécnica Territorial "Clodosbaldo Russián", and its main objective was to describe the management vision of the directors. In order to achieve the research objective, we inquired about the vision of the university managers, based on four dimensions of management: planning, organization, control and direction. A field design was used, and the interview technique was applied. The information was analyzed using qualitative and descriptive techniques, supported by the use of ATLAS.ti. Among the results of the research was a vision of planning associated with flexibility, dynamism, inclusion and participation. This book does not address all the categories of the university management vision, but it is the beginning of a chain of research on this topic.
