Management of Change in College Libraries

Today, the information technology has tremendous impact on libraries providing information from both printed as well as the paperless records. Therefore, it has become necessary to cope up with the changes taking place due to internet revolution and web publishing. The traditional role of the librarian also needs to be changed and modified suitably according to the expectations of the users. The changes are accepted by the librarians and are also imposed in their work. But to bring in cent percent change in the work, one has to bring in changes in the management which can give fruitful results. Here we are trying to find out such changes which can be adopted by all the libraries so as to facilitate the users. This book is written and designed to help the students and researchers of Library and Information science.There are in all five chapters in this book. They deals with need for changes, planned changes, steps in the management of change, management of change in college libraries and the last chapter highlights the case study of college libraries in the state of Maharashtra, India.
