Mali governance - an echography of the crisis

Mali suffers from macrocephaly, a wasting characteristic of a lack of protein supply to the whole body, where it is needed. The heart and head, which should be at the service of the whole organism, are struggling to work together to bring well-being to the whole of society, especially the human capital "white blood cells" of this social organism. Political elites monopolize illicitly acquired wealth, depriving thousands of people of the capacity to create jobs. We are witnessing an atrophy of the members, a weakening of their ability to create economic capital and the hypertrophy of "Governance". The government continues to implement a structural adjustment program, recommended by the IMF to help the national economy develop, diversify and attract foreign investors. But the country's main asset - domestic savings linked to its dynamic trade and strong diaspora - remains untapped, because it is poorly organized. Poverty has increased in Mali, and terrorism has spread throughout the West African sub-region.
