Luminescent Properties of d5 Ions doped CLHA Nanophosphors

Research in luminescent nanopowders has been conducted in recent years because of their potential applications in different types of displays and lighting devices. Phosphors are luminescent materials that emit light when excited by radiation and are usually microcrystalline powders or thin-films designed to provide visible color emission. Phosphate containing materials are used in many applications such as lighting, displays, lasers and scintillators. Generally, host materials should exhibit good optical, mechanical and thermal properties. In the present work, undoped and d5 ions (Mn2+ and Fe3+) doped CLHA nanopowders were prepared based on dry procedure, using mechanochemical method. The prepared samples were characterized by powder XRD, SEM with EDS, TEM, optical absorption, EPR, PL and FT-IR techniques.
