In these countries, the majority of the population is unable to afford houses at the current market price, so the availability of housing that is both affordable and of sufficient quality is a problem. It is believed that the components of this initiative include the rehabilitation of people living in slums through the implementation of public-private partnership projects, the promotion of affordable housing for vulnerable sections of society, and the promotion of housing for the urban poor. All of these goals will be accomplished by working together with the public and private sectors.
