Local Governance Design & Implementation of an Advocacy Action

A process allowing local elected officials to manage public affairs according to the legal provisions in force and with a certain transparency and visibility. In addition, this governance implies that the elected officials of the commune must do everything possible to promote the local economy and the development of communal life. Good local governance is the set of good practices for managing local public affairs in strict compliance with the rules and procedures in force and in the best interests of the users of local public services. It implies the adoption and implementation of rules, procedures, institutions and mechanisms allowing citizens to express their interests, exercise their rights and participate in the development of their locality.
