There are some ways of increasing listening ability. One of the method is by using Dictation Technique which I applied in my school (senior high school) at the second year students in Indonesia. There is significant improvement in the students listening ability after being taught with this method. Listening requires an active participation of the listeners in order to achieve the message that the speaker means.
