Lisa is a busy girl. She goes to school, plays the piano, attends the roller skating club, and is taking a jazz dance course; in addition, she helps out at home with the chores. So where is there any free time left for all the other wonderful things she'd like to do? While cleaning up in the attic, Lisa discovers a painted box with a small book inside; mysterious verses are written within it in a cursive script. When her grandma helps her decipher the strange letters, suddenly strange things start happening: Lisa wakes up in a completely unfamiliar, fantastical world where a cruel ruler steals the life forces of her subjects using a time device! Lisa meets a courageous boy named Tom with his dog Tati and Tom's three siblings; they all are threatened by a dangerous, highly contagious time disease. Will Lisa ever find her way back home?
