Beschreibung

Lightning is the most important cause of transmission lines in the power system. Overvoltages caused by lightning strikes the power grid can damage the power grid and reduce the grid reliability, and this is always one of the main challenges in the design of power transmission lines. Due to the fact that the transmission line towers are one of the most vulnerable parts of the transmission line due to lightning due to their relatively high height, in this book we have tried to model the transient mode of power network equipment and lightning using from the EMTP-RV software, the amount of these overvoltages should be investigated for different situations of lightning strike with the mains and phase conductor for a 400 kV double circuit transmission line. In order to achieve the goal, an attempt was made to use an accurate model of the layout of each network equipment, also since in recent years the use of GIS substations due to the smaller space required to build this type of substation and one of the main causes of equipment destruction. This type of substations is rapid transient overvoltages and due to the fact that the transmission line leads to a 400 kV GIS substation, modeling
