Life Stories and Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Inclusive education seen as a "key strategy to achieve education for all" comprises a series of guidelines that cover various spheres in society, ranging from political guidelines to classroom practices, and which have a direct impact on the interaction of people with disabilities with their environment, hence the need to propose new dynamics within educational institutions that provide the necessary tools for the full educational development of people with disabilities. In this way, from the area of Social Sciences and more specifically from the discipline of History, a network of possibilities is created in the formation of historical thinking from "oral history" with the construction of life stories, where students with special educational needs (SEN) are constituted as an active subject in the teaching process by carrying out from their experiences and in the company of their family, the construction of their life story learning in the process the basic concepts of the historical discipline.
