Legality Question of the Deployment of the Greek Armed Forces

This book is built on the information published in Greek, Turkish and English newspapers, documents in the National Archives, UN Charter, Charter of EU, Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus, books covering the period 1964-1974 and confiscated documents from the military camps of the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus. There are numerous publications and academic papers covering the 1964-1974 period of Cyprus and most of these publications are referred to in the reference section of this work. Almost all of them mention the existence of Greek troops and officers on the island but they only touch upon the topic and mentioning it as if an unimportant information or detail. Number of troops deployed, orders given by various military or governmental sources, regulations, arrivals, number of arms, armaments, vehicles, armored cars and other relevant military information related to the Greek Division in Cyprus is not given in full in these publications. When this book is evaluated fully and the documents in the appendices are examined profoundly, the deployment of Greek Armed Forces in Cyprus during the years 1964 to 1967 comes to reality without any doubt.
