The study aims to examine how vulnerable groups are protected in international law, focusing on the criteria and conditions that make individuals and groups more vulnerable. It seeks to determine if the level of protection varies depending on the specific group involved. The specific objectives of the study are:¿ To explore how international human rights law defines and understands vulnerability, identifying the factors that contribute to vulnerability and determining which individuals or groups require special protection.¿ To examine the relationship between vulnerability and core human rights principles, particularly non-discrimination and equality.¿ To analyze how the Rwandan legal framework considers vulnerability criteria in promoting human rights.
