Learning Management Systems in Medical Education

In the process to produce a competent medical graduate, who possesses all the desired competencies (including those as a part of the hidden curriculum), it is must that as medical educators, we should employ different strategies to aid the process of knowledge and skill acquisition. Learning Management System is an effective learning resource to promote synchronous and asynchronous learning, and at the same time, respect the principles of adult learning. It is obvious that it has its own flip side as well, nevertheless considering the multiple dimensions that LMS adds to the teaching-learning process, it is crucial that we negate the existing challenges and promote the use of LMS for facilitating the learning process.
