Layout of a Sustainable EFL Department

For the increasing demand of business and other professional degrees in the job market, English as a foreign language (EFL) departments are experiencing tough time. At tertiary level, students are losing interest in taking English language or literature as major. On the other hand, English language and literature graduates are failing to build their desired career. Sayed believes that proper needs analysis, learner-centered curriculum, modern teaching methodology, interactive classroom activities and updated technology can make EFL departments places of academic and professional excellence.
