Laser update in Periodontics

Several different lasers have been used in the field of Periodontology such as CO2, Nd: YAG, ER: YAG, Cr:YSGG etc. Soft tissue applications are well-documented and gaining acceptance. The laser thus opens a very promising path for the investigation that may ultimately lead not only to further control gingivitis but also revolutionary changes in clinical periodontics. This book gives a brief review of the clinical application of different types of lasers in Periodontics such as laser induced root surface biomodification ,laser for crown lengthening ,treatment of chronic periodontitis with laser ,application of laser for treatment of Peri-implantitis ,laser-assisted new attachment procedure ,laser instrument for measuring tooth Movement ,laser-assisted gingivectomy & gingivoplasty.
