Beschreibung
Large eddy simulation is introduced in present CFD simulation. The small eddies have been modeled by using the well-known Smagorinsky model.The problem of developing turbulent flow in a square duct is investigated computationally.The large eddy simulation model showed high stability and did not need extra differential equation like the k-¿model. A great saving in time and computer memory was achieved.
