LAND CONFIGURATION AND NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT IN WHEAT

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the most widely grown and consumed food crop and it is staple food for 35% of the world population. Wheat is very important cereal crop after rice grown under diverse agro-climatic conditions. The soil of coastal areas of South Gujarat is saline and saline sodic in nature. Because of this physical condition of these soils are poor and thereby adversely affect on the productivity of rabi crops. However, very less information reported on the land configuration with nutrient management in wheat crop under salt affected area in Gujarat.
