Knowledge attitude and practice of antibiotic misuse among adults

Antibiotic misuse has become a public health concern considering the high prevalence of the practice worldwide and One of the greatest challenges faced in the medical world today is the way microorganisms are respond to antibiotic treatment; this challenge is termed as antibiotic resistance. Irrational use of antibiotics is a key reason for the increase and spread of antibiotic resistance. Several factors may enhance irrational antibiotics usage, which could be doctors' knowledge and experiences, diagnostic uncertainty, patients' expectations, lack of patient and health care professional¿s education, pharmaceutical marketing, and selling antibiotic without Prescription. this study is aimed to asses¿ knowledge attitude and practice of antibiotic misuse among adults in Hargeisa group hospital.
