It helps to find out optimum conditions required to get the value added desired products. 1, 4-Benzothiazines are known for their utility as dyestuff's, photographic developers, ultraviolet light absorbers and antioxidants. The synthetic, biological, chemical, physical and spectral aspects of 1, 4-benzothiazines are well reviewed . These multifarious applications of 1, 4-benzothiazines have prompted to pay attention on the studies directed towards their chemistry and biodynamicity. It has been found that there are various synthetic methods for obtaining value added 1, 4-benzothiazines. The details of these methods have been incorporated in this book. It has also been noticed that there is a scope to provide novel synthetic protocol for 1, 4-benzothiazines and also to optimize cyclocondensation conditions to provide cost effective reaction protocol for existing method and which may be used widely .
