KAP Study of Diabetes mellitus

Diabetes is one of the most important chronic diseases in the World. It is understood that the subject diabetes itself very wide and big area of concern. Bangladesh is one of the thickly populated country among the world. The prevalence of diabetes in Bangladesh is 6.9%. Risk factors for diabetes include impaired glucose tolerance, obesity, high waist-to-hip ratio, high waist circumference (abdominal obesity), physical inactivity and low fruit and vegetable intake. People don't know about the risk factors. This study help the physician to know the i. Socio-demographic characteristics ii. Knowledge about diabetic food, exercise. iii. Knowledge and practice on management of diabetes iv. Attitude of the patient regarding practice. v. Health beliefs about diabetes vi. Role of information & education in self-management of diabetes.
