Justice A Philosophical Perspective In Islam

Justice has been a vital problem in the realm of philosophy,since the time of Plato to the modern age.Justice is also one of the essential features of Islam and it has been as important issue in the history of muslim philosophy.It has about considerably different responces in various communities. The Muslim philosophers although had been influenced by Greek philosophers but they have redefined justice with a stress on Islamic elements.The purpose of this book is to bring out various point of views of important schools of Muslim philosophy together since the early Muslim philosophy to the Modern schools, and to make the assessment as to which of them has represented the basic idea of justice,such as divine justice and ethical, social,and political justice.The present book firstly deals with historical background of justice in Greek ,secondly, it describes the mining of justice in Islam and the views on justice by the early Muslim and the later schools.The subsequent part explains the idea of the Modern thinkers of Islam.
