Jordanian corporate governance framework and mechanisms

Much book has been conducted into corporate governance, but these have largely been directed at developed markets and they have not generally been focused on the impact of good corporate governance practices and procedures on firms¿ performance. The primary focus of this book is to address this issue through corporate governance on the Jordan environment. Good corporate governance practices in Jordan may provide a means of enhancing its competitiveness to attaining high level of disclosure which in turn will lead investors to increase their investments in the Jordanian companies. The last decade has seen Jordanian corporations apply principles of corporate governance, consistent with western countries to monitor their activities and increase the number of their investors.
