IT Workshop

This book serves as a textbook for undergraduate engineering students majoring in computer science, as well as postgraduate students pursuing computer applications. Its objective is to introduce concepts such as Open Office, LaTeX, PC hardware, basic HTML tags, and provide an introduction to PHP. Students will learn how to use these concepts to prepare well-formatted documents, explore formulas in Open Office Calc (i.e., spreadsheets), and create simple web pages. Additionally, they will gain knowledge about the internal parts of a computer, different types of processors, and how to assemble and disassemble their own PCs.OpenOffice, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1999 for internal use, became an open-sourced suite known as OpenOffice in July 2000 to compete with Microsoft Office. Many features in OpenOffice are similar to those in Microsoft Office. This book explains several tasks that can be performed using OpenOffice Writer, including its features. It also covers OpenOffice Calc and its features, as well as OpenOffice Database, explaining topics such as database creation, executing queries, and generating reports.
