IoT based Home Appliances Security System using Raspberry Pi

In this framework Haar like features are used for face detection, and Local Binary Pattern Histogram for face recognition. This system finds wide application in smart homes in which the owner is not present at homes all the times. When a visitor knocks the door their face is captured using the web camera and picture is mailed to the proprietor. In this way, the proprietor could check the mail and can open/close the entryway physically utilizing the web.
