Investment Project of a Marketplace Platform in Mexico

In the times of e-commerce, the aim is to demonstrate the profitability of a marketplace platform investment project in Mexico. This book is based on a master's degree thesis in Finance at the University of Sonora in Mexico. For this purpose, together with the members of the company, a strategic business plan was formulated for the launching of the platform; in addition, a financial model was created in Excel, where the accounting data provided by the company was recorded in order to prepare the financial statements and their corresponding evaluations in order to know its total performance. The results obtained are attractive to both partners and potential shareholders, given that there could be a considerable reduction in sales or increases in different expenses and still remain competitive. On the other hand, prior to the economic and financial studies, the need for the investment project was characterized through a comparison with existing marketplace platforms in Mexico, an analysis of Mexican online consumer trends and Mexican exports.
