Investigation of safety in water transportation

Lagos state is aquatic with huge potential of having the best water transportation because surface water system has east ward orientation cutting the state into two parts these includes, 1, West consist of the Badagry crack which extent to port novo and join the Lagos Lagoon at Amuwo Odofin Area. 2, North consist of widest point ¿ north of Lagos Island connecting the major traffic. Generation areas of the sate extend to Eti-Osa, to join the Lekki, and Epe creek at south east corridor. Water transport ¿ account for 0.75 of passenger carriage, 95% of them carried by informal sector, 5% to formal sector and other cooperate bodies. However current studies carried out by the State Government on reactivating water transport of different location show that there exist significant level of acceptance of the use of transport by community public both in high and low income area.
