Investigating the effect of thiols on the size of gold nanoparticles

Nanoparticles emerged as a solution to several issues among which are solubility, bioavailability and several channeled quest for knowledge and understanding of matter at the nano size scale. This book features an introduction to these particles and possible application to carbohydrate-carbohydrate and carbohydrate-protein binding studies. The effects of several aggregating agents on the size of these particles are observed and explained on the basis of already established theories.
