Introduction to the Bible

The Bible is a collection of sacred textbooks or scriptures of divine inspiration that record the relationship between God and humans. Its Scriptures consist of God¿s fully inspired, infallible and inerrant Word, written by different authors and at different times. It¿s the only final authority for faith and life (Proverbs 30:5-6; Isaiah 8:20; John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21). The Bible is divided into two main sections: the Old Testament, which consists of 39 books, and the New Testament, which counts 27 books. This work aims to introduce you to the 66 books of the Bible in a way that makes it easier for you to approach the Bible. It tries to summarize the content of each book by emphasizing the author, the date and place of writing, the purpose, the context and intended recipients, the literature features, Theological Theme and Message as well as the content outline of each book. Our aim is to help you navigate your Bible and we hope you find the reading insightful.
