Introduction to Agricultural Meteorology

Designed as a Textbook for UG and PG students of Agriculture, it fulfils the needs for an updated comprehensive information (as per the syllabus framed by ICAR) on the theoretical and applied aspects of agricultural meteorology Illustrated with schematic representation and pictures, the scope of the book is divided in to two major areas (i) basic aspects of weather elements (ii) advances of weather elements. The first area deals with the basic aspects of meteorology and agricultural meteorology. Also deals the atmospheric constituents and their role in agriculture. The principal meteorological variables that govern the atmosphere, namely radiation, temperature, general circulation, atmospheric moisture, clouds, precipitation and monsoon also dealt in this part. The second area deals with the affects and application of weather elements, namely weather and crops, evapotranspiration, drought and agro climatic classification.
