The authors of this book are working in Mumbai University, India since more than two decades. They have tried to comprehend in this book about Indiäs education system which has expanded exponentially over the past five decades and about the status of existing higher education policies with regards to internationalization. The authors believe that archival policies are causing scarcity of opportunities in higher education and are hurdle in nurturing potentials in the internationalization scenario. Therefore, through the extensive study of Indian Higher Education policies and a perception study in context to General Agreement in Trade and Services (GATS) regulations, based on its major findings authors have made sincere efforts in this book to provide basic ideas about effective and efficient policy formulations. The study generally emphasizes on formulation of domestic and internal policy formulations by Central/State Government and Universities respectively.This book will certainly help policy makers and other stake holders to take strategic steps towards effective policy formulations.
