International projects with teams in the virtual environment

Through international projects, organizations around the world are trying to adapt to the new environment conditions in which they operate, imposed by the phenomenon of globalization and characterized by complexity, uncertainty, increased competitiveness, reduced resources, technological changes, increasing demand for innovation. Electronic communication and information tools are the means that allowed the creation of international project teams in the virtual environment, allowing team members to collaborate regardless of the geographical area where they are or cultural, historical, socio-political, educational differences. Given the current state of the technology, project teams in th virtual environment can operate very efficiently, without relying on the benefits of direct interaction and communication. The main objective was to identify the challenges regarding the management of the teams in the virtual environment within the international projects, as well as some effective solutions to overcome them, in order to increase the performance of the team in the virtual environment and therefore, to increase the international projects success rate.
