After 2003, exploration and production of oil for commercial purposes started in the Kurdistan Region. Despite the oil revenues, the people of Kurdistan are expecting more economic, social and environmental contribution from International Oil Companies (IOCs) towards their communities. This book sheds the light on the extent to which IOCs CSR initiatives contribute to community development in Kurdistan Region from the perspective of key stakeholders, and the motives for CSR engagement are examined. Also, the extent to which CSR activities provided a stable work environment for IOCs is explained.
