INTERNATIONAL NEGOTIATIONS: WHO IS IN CHARGE?

The objective of this paper is to study the patterns of action of entrepreneurs from various sectors of economic activity, represented by the Brazilian Business Coalition, an informal body for coordination of the private sector, which operates in monitoring international negotiations, especially the trade integration processes in which Brazil is involved. How does such participation occur and how is the dialogue between the private initiative - especially the one represented by such body - and the government? Formed by class entities, such as associations, federations, unions and by companies from different sectors, the CEB brings together more than 170 members interested in influencing Brazilian international integration strategies, and the National Confederation of Industries is responsible for promoting and moderating the discussions that take place within the scope of the CEB.The study of mobilization and business activities will be carried out through an analysis of the CEB's positions in the dialogue with government agencies involved in the negotiations of the Agreement between the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) and the European Union (EU). The research period ranges from 2007 to 2017.
