International jurisdictions and the protection of human rights

The notion of human rights has now found its place in our society to define the inalienable, intransgressible and intrinsic rights that individuals have, regardless of their race, sex, religion, ethnicity, etc. From ancient history to the modern period, texts have constantly recalled the importance of the fundamental rights that each person enjoys as a human being. Human rights are not only an abstract ideal, they are real rights, justiciable rights. To make the protection real and effective, several systems have been set up. Both at the universal and regional levels, non-judicial mechanisms have been created. This is the case at the universal level with the United Nations Human Rights Committee, at the regional level with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, the European Commission on Human Rights and the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights.
