Intergated nutrient management in aerobic rice for sustainability

¿ Application of chemical fertilizers along with organic source enhances early establishment of crop and helps in improving the yield parameters and yield of aerobic rice.¿ Spacing of 30 x 30 cm is ideal which helps in better inter-cultivation, induces higher number of panicles hill-1 and higher grain yield. ¿ Application of organic manures along with inorganic sources improves the soil health and nutrient availability.¿ Aerobic rice respond well to wider spacing, which induces better root growth of the crop inturn leads to better nutrient uptake and higher water use efficiency. ¿ Use of chemical fertilizers along with different organic manures (FYM, vermicompost and poultry manure) which are being produced in the farm itself reduces the cost of cultivation and increases the benefit cost ratio.¿ Use of poultry manure along with chemical fertilizers has higher residual effect of nutrient in soil.
