Integral Vehicle Safety

Integral safety plays a significant role in the design of motor vehicles, in user survey results and in reporting in specialized journals or on the internet. Development conditions change at ever shorter intervals due to new laws, rating programs and CAE methods. One focus of innovation lies in the increasing automation of driving tasks and in the phase that connects active with passive safety – preventive safety. This book has served as an important reference for 25 years for all those working in vehicle safety. In the 5th edition, the growing importance of accident prevention and mitigation is reflected in the inclusion of a dedicated chapter and new sections on telematics and radar technology.
