Instructional Techniques for Wounded Warriors with PTSD and TBI

An influx of veterans are entering into college and university classrooms. These student veterans have many gifts and challenges they bring with them, especially students with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Instructional Techniques for Wounded Warriors with PTSD and TBI addresses the needs of these students. Andragogical, active learning, collaborative learning, and differentiated learning techniques are presented with specific projects and activities that can be used to capitalize on the strengths of these students, and help them be successful in the classroom. Background information on PTSD and TBI is also provided, helping instructors understand the heroes who sit in their classrooms.
