Information Seeking Behaviour

In this information age there is so much of information being generated that we are confronted with growth of information, which leads to information explosion, exponential information pollution. Due to this information explosion or information pollution the people are confused about the information need, information access and information sources. Again information access varies from person to person according to their needs. The concept Information seeking behaviour involves personal reasons for seeking information, the kinds of information which are being sought, and the ways and sources with which needed information is being sought.
