Information Search Pattern of E-Resources

The study is carried out on Information Search Pattern of E-Resources by Management Students in B ¿ School Libraries of Gujarat. It also examined types of information resources used by management students. There prevails a very sound understanding among the students about the traditional information search patterns and methods. Also, there seems to be very little awareness among the students about the advanced search patterns and methods like Boolean Operators, Truncation of Search Terms, and Field Searching. Finally, there prevails a very sound understanding of the gateways like Fedgate and J-gate compared to the other gateways KileKnimbus, Ebsco Discovery, and Focuz Info-tech. Another area in the need of attention is Information Seeking Behavior of the Library Users in the Virtual Environment and Inter-Library Loan. Moreover, Search Query Analysis of the Management Students ¿ Library Users of the B ¿ Schools of Gujarat may also be conducted. The impact of electronic information resources used on scholarly productivity can also be studied. Importantly, comparative study of the use and efficacy of the Resources ¿ Print and Online used by the students may also is strongly suggested.
