Bronchiolitis is an acute viral respiratory infection of the lower airways in infants under 2 years of age. 95% of cases require simple outpatient treatment. Nevertheless, relapses of bronchiolitis occur in 23 to 60% of children. Despite this high rate of recurrence, few studies have been carried out on the impact of information tools made available to caregivers on this recurrence rate. We therefore sought to determine whether an oral intervention associated with the transmission of an informative brochure to parents of children with bronchiolitis would reduce the number of visits to the pediatrician and hospitalizations.
