Increasing Earthquake Resistance of Buildings and Structures

Changing the map of seismic zoning of Kazakhstan, including Almaty, has led to the need to reassess the seismic resistance of residential and public buildings and other structures located in seismically active regions, as well as in the adjacent areas. At the same time, if in seismic areas functioning objects, as a rule, have some or other elements of anti-seismic reinforcement of the main structures, in the earlier non-seismic buildings seismic resistant under the current economic situation in the Republic cannot be resolved at all, so it is necessary to solve the problem of strengthening the buildings. First of all, mass building with the maximum possible seismic resistance to the levels regulated by the current SNiP RK 2.03-30-2006 "Construction in seismic areas".
