Inclusion of the Visually Impaired in Secondary Education in Ghana

¿The quest for social justice and equity, a change in the cultural mindset concerning our perception about persons with visual impairment, and reaching their right is what this meticulous work is about. Cornelius Kwaku Worlanyo has given us a lucid theoretical position about the matter. This is in line with the UN convention on the right of the child. Cornelius argues out why inclusive education should be given the needed attention by all. He highlights on the importance of educating the marginalized in the society. The findings exposed the inadequacies and behavioural attitude that still exist between the visually and non-visually impaired as well as the larger society. This work is not only an exposure of the Ghanaian situation, but also an awareness of the situation in most developing countries around the world. Cornelius demonstrates his in-depth understanding of the issues of persons with visual impairment in this thesis. Young researchers in the field of inclusive education must endeavour to have a copy.
