In-Depth Interview

The in-depth interview as a qualitative research technique allows the encounter with the testimony of the research subject, shows that the war conflict of the Chaco War between Paraguay and Bolivia (1932 - 1935) is nothing more than the backdrop of other types of processes that transcend the military war, such as the caste system of Bolivian society reproduced on the battle front. In other words, the war, more than trenches, evacuees, mosquitoes and corpses, reveals the way in which each combatant experienced, assimilated and confronted a historical event which, in this case, has to do with the perception of the particularity of the ethnic-cultural condition of the narrator.
