Implementation of Traffic Monitoring System in Developing Countries

The present transportation system has minimized the distance in travelling, but it has on the other hand increased the life risk of road users. Road traffic injuries are a major source of death and injury in Africa(Nigeria) with thousand's of people killed each year. The observations from the present study indicate the need to implement a system that will monitor and minimize the major security risk in transportation system for a regular evaluation of accident trends in relation to a critical evaluation and innovation of accident counter measures in developing countries. This project elaborate on a Traffic monitoring and information system (Mobility monitoring suit)Using GPS Technology, with a view to monitor, respond and enhance safety, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of vehicle congestion and accidents in general.
