Not only knowledge and skill are required, the use of advance imaging technology as well as experience of operator is of paramount importance in the success of implant dentistry.Implant tooth replacement should be considered as the treatment of choice when maxillary anterior teeth are congenitally missing in adolescence. Orthodontic therapy prior to the implant surgery should be performed during growth and development of the jaws. Its advantages include the correction of asymmetric mesio-distal spaces in the edentulous site, improper occlusion, midline discrepancy and other abnormal skeletal relationships. Implant insertion should be after final growth and proper occlusal stability have been achieved.
