Today, lot many of the books are available on implants; its placement; anatomical considerations ; various concepts of implantology; ridge augmentation; but none of the books is available in which precise knowledge is given regarding the atrophic ridges and alveolar ridge deficiencies, where reconstruction of the defect is required before or concurrent with implant placement. So, keeping that in mind, we planned to write this book wherein precise knowledge required regarding ridge deficiencies, anatomical considerations and augmentation technique indicated in a particular situation to restore adequate bone volume and to allow ideal implant placement from an aesthetic and functional point of view has been discussed precisely.
