Impact Of Social Engineering Attacks In Colombia.

In order to analyze the impact of social engineering attacks in Colombia from 2016 to 2019, a brief description of the terminology related to social engineering, regulations, legislation and concepts must be made; achieving to conclude which are the most used social engineering techniques that affect the Colombian population. Another important aspect is to identify whether there are strategies or campaigns by state entities, to help mitigate the occurrence of incidents related or produced. It can be achieved that citizens, government agencies and companies, identify the issue as a socio-economic problem, which can affect from their family and work environment of people, or the company in general, and thus be able to implement at the educational level fundamental terms of social engineering and to mitigate the gap of insecurity by the implementation of such techniques, taking advantage of the shortcomings of human beings, which by nature is trusting.
